The Trine Triple Sprint Triathlon is Saturday at Trine State Recreation Area in Fremont.
The race, which includes swimming, biking, and running, will play host to 10 collegiate teams in an NCAA invitational, along with non-collegiate athletes competing in age groups. A majority of the triathlon will take place within the boundary of Trine SRA.
Athletes will complete a 300-yard swim in Gentian Lake, a 5-mile bike, and a 1.25-mile run. Groups will have rotating start times with races starting every 45 minutes.
The first race will begin at 8 a.m. Competition will end by 12:30 p.m.
Parking will be limited to the Rolling Oaks Trail parking lot.
Spectators should plan on arriving at least 45 minutes early to allow time to park and walk to the starting line at the lake.
