Nationals' ace back Thursday
WASHINGTON – Nationals pitcher Max Scherzer is slated to start Thursday against the Colorado after recovering from inflammation under his right shoulder.
The 34-year-old right-hander threw a bullpen session before Monday's game was postponed.
An All-Star for the seventh straight season, Scherzer is 9-5 with a 2.30 ERA but has not pitched since July 6.

The Los Angeles Dodgers will welcome the All-Star Game back to Dodger Stadium with a $100 million renovation of their historic ballpark. The primary addition will be a Centerfield Plaza area spanning nearly 2 acres behind the outfield fences, creating what Dodgers President Stan Kasten calls a front door to the hillside park.
