Mastodons' 4-game win streak ends

GREEN BAY, Wis. – Emmanuel Ansong came off the bench to score 18 points to lift Green Bay to a 77-59 win over Purdue Fort Wayne on Friday.

Josh Jefferson had 16 points for Green Bay (4-11, 4-7 Horizon League). PJ Pipes added 13 points and Amari Davis had five steals.

The Phoenix forced a season-high 22 turnovers.

Jalon Pipkins had 11 points for the Mastodons (6-6, 5-6), whose four-game winning streak ended. Jarvis Walker added 10 points and Demetric Horton had six rebounds.

The Mastodons and Phoenix play again at 5 p.m. today.

WRIGHT STATE 95, IUPUI 65: In Indianapolis, Grant Basile had a career-high 24 points to lead the Raiders.

Loudon Love had 16 points and 11 rebounds for Wright State (10-4, 8-3 Horizon League).

The 95 points were a season best for Wright State.

Jaylen Minnett had 17 points for the Jaguars (3-5, 2-5).

OAKLAND 86, DETROIT MERCY 81: In Rochester, Michigan, Jalen Moore had a triple-double with 18 points, 14 assists and 11 rebounds to carry the Golden Grizzlies.

Zion Young scored a career-high 28 points for Oakland (6-12, 6-5 Horizon League), which earned its fourth consecutive home victory.

Antoine Davis tied a season high with 30 points and had six assists for the Titans (3-8, 2-5).

UIC 67, YOUNGSTOWN STATE 66: In Youngstown, Ohio, Michael Diggins tapped in an airball just before the buzzer to lift the Flames.

Teyvion Kirk dribbled down the court into a double team in the corner and his 3-point attempt was off, but Diggins was left alone under the basket for a putback.

Kirk had 15 points and 10 rebounds for UIC (8-4, 5-2 Horizon League).

Women

OAKLAND 58, PFW 49: In Rochester, Michigan, Oakland finished the contest on a 9-0 run over the last 5:46 to get the win. Three Mastodons flirted with double-doubles as Sierra Bell had 13 points and nine rebounds and Jaida Wolfork chipped in eight points and seven rebounds.

Kahlaijah Dean led Oakland (7-7, 7-4 Horizon League) with 14 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks.
