Mike Fisher of A Yard Apart strings Christmas lights Tuesday on the Christmas tree on Broadway at Beaver Avenue. The 40-foot Colorado blue spruce, donated by the Ron Lauer family of Leo, will have more than 30,000 lights when it's lit Friday during the Christmas on Broadway event. Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. with the tree lighting and fireworks taking place at 6 p.m.  (CATHIE ROWAND)
