An arrest has been made in Friday evening's fatal stabbing at the East Central Towers apartment complex.
A person of interest in the case, Michael Foster, 52, came into the police station to be interviewed about 5 p.m. Saturday, according to a news release from Sofia Rosales-Scatena, Fort Wayne Police Department's public information officer.
Foster was preliminarily charged with aggravated battery in the stabbing death of an unidentified man at 6 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of East Washington Boulevard. The man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police at the time said an argument had escalated into a fight near an elevator when the stabbing occurred. The identity of the victim and cause and manner of death have not been released by the Allen County coroner.
Foster will be arraigned in Allen Superior Court today.
