“Details are very limited as of now,” according to a news release issued Tuesday afternoon.
Police described the victim as a male and said he was transferred to a trauma hospital.
Driver dies after crashing into Pettit Avenue home
Medics couldn't save the life of a driver whose vehicle crashed into a south-side home about 7 a.m. Tuesday, Fort Wayne police said in a news release.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
Emergency crews responding to the 200 block of West Pettit Avenue found a truck had run into the house's porch. The driver was unresponsive, and he was pronounced dead at a hospital despite life-saving efforts by firefighters and medics, police said.
The crash closed that block of Pettit for about two hours.
