Felony report

The following people were charged with felonies in Allen Circuit and Superior courts. Misdemeanor charges are also listed if the person is charged with a felony.

Dean F. Hazelett, 67, of the 1700 block of Third Street, was charged Sept. 16 with causing death when operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and reckless homicide where defendant recklessly kills another human being. He was released on $30,000 bond. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Buenaventura Ramirez, 40, of Auburn, was charged Sept. 16 with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and misdemeanor leaving the scene of an accident and intentionally operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a license. He was released on $2,500 bond. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Scott A. Rodriguez, 35, of the 7200 block of Peerless Drive, was charged Sept. 16 with domestic battery with bodily injury to a person younger than 14, neglect of a dependent resulting in bodily injury and misdemeanor resisting law enforcement. He was being held in lieu of $20,750 bail.

Jaime A. Hernandez Jr. aka Jamie Hernandez, 27, of the 3600 block of South Lafayette Street, was charged Sept. 16 operating a vehicle after being judged a habitual traffic offender. He was released on his own recognizance. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Charles H. Yancey III, 28, of the 2100 block of Engle Road, was charged Sept. 16 with domestic battery with bodily injury to a pregnant woman, criminal confinement with bodily injury, strangulation – victim is pregnant and misdemeanor invasion of privacy. He was released on $23,250 bond. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Demetrius K. Jackson aka Tony Jackson aka Meach Jackson, 43, of the 2100 block of St. Marys Avenue, was charged Sept. 16 with operating a vehicle after being judged a habitual traffic offender. He was released on his own recognizance. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Walter L. Brightwell, 26, of the 600 block of East Taber Street, was charged Sept. 16 with failure to register as a sex or violent offender. He was released on $10,000 bond. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Jarrett J. Wallace aka James White, 34, of the 900 block of East Washington Boulevard, was charged Sept. 17 with battery by bodily waste to a public safety officer and misdemeanor resisting law enforcement and criminal trespass. He was being held in lieu of $2,500 bail.

Teddy J. Bair aka Tedd Clair aka James Bair, 47, of the 3000 block of West Coliseum Boulevard, was charged Sept. 17 with unlawful syringe possession. He was being held in lieu of $2,500 bail.

Nathaniel Weibel, 24, of the 3800 block of Oxford Street, was charged Sept. 17 with domestic battery committed in the presence of a child younger than 16 years old. He was released on his own recognizance. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Tony M. Jackson, 28, of the 4600 block of South Hanna Street, was charged Sept. 17 with resisting law enforcement where defendant uses a vehicle to commit the offense and misdemeanor resisting law enforcement. He was released on $2,500 bond. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
