Addiction treatment center opening in Albion
ASHLEY SLOBODA | The Journal Gazette
An addiction treatment center expects to open its first in-patient facility in northeast Indiana next year, according to a news release Tuesday.
Hickory Recovery Network's Albion location will be its sixth in the state. The other locations are in central and southern Indiana cities, including Indianapolis and Terre Haute.
The facilities offer detox and residential recovery programs for drug and alcohol addiction, Hickory Recovery's website said.
Men and women of all ages can receive Hickory Recovery's services, the website said, and nearly all types of insurance are accepted, including state Medicaid and Healthy Indiana Plan.
The Albion facility will occupy the former Northridge Village nursing and rehab facility on the town's north side, Noble County Economic Development Corporation said in a news release. Hickory Recovery recently purchased the Trail Ridge Road property.
Clients are expected to be accepted early next year, the release said.
To ramp up staffing, Hickory Recovery will hold a job fair from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 10 at Augusta Hills Learning, Recreation and Community Center at 2080 W. 300 N., about 2 miles west of the stoplight in Albion, the release said. Attendees must wear a mask, the release said.
The treatment center is seeking administrative, dietary, housekeeping, maintenance and nursing staff, its website said.
