County adds 1 virus death to total

The Indiana Department of Health announced 387 Hoosiers were diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing Saturday. That brings to 746,554 the number of Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus.

To date, 13,267 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 23 from the previous day. Another 418 probable deaths have been reported to date based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record.

Allen County announced one resident died and 18 tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total to 41,677 cases and 686 deaths Saturday. 

As of Saturday, a total of 5,255,695 doses have been administered in Indiana. This includes 2,681,559 first doses and 2,574,136 individuals who are fully vaccinated. In Allen County, 43.4% of the population, or 136,603 people, have been fully vaccinated.
