If you're out and about this weekend, whether it be grocery shopping or going to the mall, you may want to bring a little extra cash along. It's Girl Scout cookie time!
Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana launched their cookie sales Friday and will be stationed outside various grocery stores, home improvement stores, at the mall, or basically anywhere they can set up tables to tempt you with those delicious treats that are only available once a year.
This year's refreshed packaging shows current Girl Scouts taking part in experiences that include camping and canoeing, to exploring space science and designing robots, to taking action in their communities.
But you don't have to wait for the Scouts to come to you or run into them by chance. If you are craving a box of Thin Mints, Caramel Delight, Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Peanut Butter Patties, Shortbreads, S'mores, Lemonades, Thanks-a-Lots or gluten-free Caramel Chocolate Chip, you can search where local Girl Scouts will be selling cookies at www.gsnim.org.
Just click on “Find Cookies” and type in your ZIP code. Each box is $4.
