May your TV be Merry & Bright

COREY MCMAKEN | The Journal Gazette

Santa is flying on the side of a building downtown, at least one area radio station has gone all-Christmas and the youngsters in your life have probably already given you a list of toys they absolutely must see under the tree this year. If it wasn't already obvious that the holiday season has begun, just turn on the TV.

We asked readers to share how they felt about romantic holiday movies like those that started airing on Lifetime and the Hallmark networks even before Halloween. Some people think they start too early and take favorite non-holiday shows off the air, but most of the responses were from people who enjoy watching the movies. Several people called them wholesome, family programming that is a nice change of pace from a lot of what is on TV.

Well, there are plenty of those movies still to come this season, along with a sleigh-load of holiday classics, new specials and more.

Many of the programs listed in this calendar air repeatedly this month, but we have listed at least one program each day through Christmas to get you started with your viewing schedule.

Not every new program and movie is listed, but many are included on the date of their first broadcast. Times listed are subject to change, so check the listings from your TV provider to see what's on at any given moment.
