Central Noble remains No. 1, Leo falls in boys AP basketball poll

The Central Noble boys remain the top-ranked team in Class 2A in this week's AP poll, earning 10 of 12 first-place votes after a week in which the Cougars (15-0) won four games to claim their third straight NECC tournament title. 

Blackhawk Christian (12-1), which suffered its first loss in an overtime game against Homestead last week, fell one spot to No. 3 in Class 2A, but still received one first-place vote. Linton-Stockton (14-1) received the final first-place Class 2A vote. 

Eastside (14-1) remains at No. 6 in Class 2A after suffering its first loss of the season to Central Noble in the NECC Tournament final on Saturday. 

Leo (8-2) dropped from first in Class 3A to sixth after losing to NE8 opponent New Haven on Friday. NorthWood (13-1) jumped two spots and is now the top-ranked team in the classification. Norwell (10-3) received votes.

Fremont (7-3) received votes in Class A. North Daviess (13-1) remains the top-ranked team in the class. 

Chesterton (12-0) has jumped one spot to take the top-ranked position in the Class 4A rankings. No local Class 4A teams received a vote this week.
