The mayor of Warsaw will seek a third term next year.
Joe Thallemer, who was first elected in 2011, announced his intention to run for re-election Thursday.
"We are proud of our track record of serving our community members and keeping our promises," Thallemer said in a statement. "We will continue to do what is good for Warsaw and focus on moving our entire community forward."
In a news release, Thallemer said he is "committed to continuing work on projects that are good for Warsaw," with focus on growth, fiscal responsibility and improvements to citizens' daily lives.
"I will work harder than ever to continue to earn the confidence and support that I have received for the past seven years," Thallemer said. "In my next term, I will work even more diligently to serve the community that I love. I've invested my heart and soul into serving Warsaw and am committed to continuing that good work."
The earliest Thallemer can file official paperwork declaring his candidacy is Jan. 9.
