Mad Ants' slump continues

Alize Johnson had 22 points and 13 rebounds, yet the Mad Ants lost 111-106 to the Canton Charge on Sunday in Cleveland.

Goga Bitadze, who was sent with Johnson to the Mad Ants by the NBA’s Indiana Pacers earlier in the day, totaled 13 points, 15 rebounds and 3 blocked shots.

The Mad Ants have lost three straight games and six of their last seven.

For Fort Wayne (18-22), Daxter Miles Jr. had 19 points. Brian Bowen II had 13 points and 10 rebounds. Stephan Hicks also had 13 points.

Naz Mitrou-Long, returning from an ankle injury, had six points and five assists for the Mad Ants. They remained without Walt Lemon Jr. (paternity leave). Newly acquired Kavell Bigby-Williams didn’t play.

Canton led 56-50 at halftime and pulled away with a 29-23 third quarter at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, where attendance was announced as 8,347.

Sir'Dominic Pointer led the Charge (26-13) with 26 points. 

Dean Wade had 19 points.
