Mad Ants acquire Hartenstein

JUSTIN A. COHN | The Journal Gazette

The Mad Ants have acquired the rights to Isaiah Hartenstein, along with a second-round pick in this year's G League draft, for the rights to Herve Kabasele.

The trade was made with Erie.

Hartenstein, 7-feet tall, was a second-round pick of the NBA's Houston Rockets in 2017. He has played 51 NBA games, averaging 3.1 points, 2.7 rebounds and 9.6 minutes.

This season, he's played six G League games with Rio Grande Valley and averaged 21.3 points, 14.5 rebounds and 4.7 assists.

He's on an NBA contract so it's unlikely he gets sent down.

Kabasele has played 15 games this season with Real Canoe NC in Spain, averaging 8.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks.
