When the Mad Ants play host to the Windy City Bulls at Memorial Coliseum at 7 p.m. Saturday, it will be Pacers night.
Not only will the NBA team’s mascot, Boomer, be on hand frolicking with the Mad Ant, but the Pacemates will accompany the Madame Ants dance team and the Pacers’ halftime show will be at the Coliseum.
The first 1,000 fans will get Pacers T-shirts.
The Pacers own and operate the Mad Ants and Alize Johnson, Indiana’s rookie second-round draft pick, is coming off his sixth double-double of the season when he had 20 points and eight rebounds in Thursday’s 136-116 loss at the Coliseum to Raptors 905.
Fort Wayne (4-4) also has Davon Reed on a two-way contract with the Pacers. Edmond Sumner and Ike Anigbogu have spent time with the Mad Ants this season.
