Defenseman Marcus McIvor has been called from the Komets to the higher-level American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves, who coincidentally called up Toledo Walleye goalie Billy Christopoulos. The Komets face the Walleye at 5:15 p.m. today in Ohio.
The Komets have now had nine players called up a total of 15 times this season. That only includes the players on ECHL contracts, not those who had been with Fort Wayne on NHL or AHL deals.
Among those currently in the AHL are their initial captain, Matthew Boudens (with Henderson), alternate captains McIvor and Blake Siebenaler (Charlotte), forward Drake Rymsha (Hershey) and No. 1 goalie Samuel Harvey (San Jose).
