Komets name Petruzzelli new captain
JUSTIN A. COHN | The Journal Gazette
The Komets have made Anthony Petruzzelli their new captain, after he’d been an alternate all season.
Matthew Boudens had been named the captain prior to the season opener Oct. 23, but he was called to the American Hockey League’s Henderson Silver Knights on Nov. 18 and has been gone 17 straight games. He has four assists in 10 games for the Silver Knights.
Petruzzelli, who is in his fifth season with the Komets, has never missed a game due to injury – a streak of 238 games, including the playoffs.
