Cody Sol’s tenure with the Toledo Walleye lasted only one game.
The longtime Komets player, who had an assist in Saturday’s 4-3 victory over the Brampton Beast, was traded to the Cincinnati Cyclones for future considerations Monday.
According to the Toledo Blade, Sol was moved, at least in part, to make room for Alex McCrea, who had been with Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League. The Walleye is also looking at adding another veteran player, the Blade reported, after Sol had occupied one of the four veteran spots.
Sol played for the Komets from 2014 to 2019.
