The Komets added goaltender Jake Kupsky and forward Tayler Munson to their roster, giving them 26 players for training camp.
Kupsky is the third netminder on the roster, joining Stephen Dhillon and Max Strang, though the Komets are expected to get another from the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights and perhaps a second from the Los Angeles Kings.
Kupsky, 23, a seventh-round pick of the San Jose Sharks in 2015, is coming off a four-year career with Union College. Last season, he was 7-4-1 with a 2.80 goals-against average and a .885 save percentage. He was 23-22-5 with a 2.85 GAA in 59 college games.
Munson, 25, is a rookie from Alaska-Fairbanks. He had 26 goals and 47 points in 126 games, including eight goals and 14 points in 32 games last season.
Additionally, the Komets announced that single-game tickets for this season will go on sale 10 a.m. Thursday at the Memorial Coliseum box office at TicketMaster.com. The regular season opens Oct. 12 at the Coliseum against the Kalamazoo Wings.
