K's add forwards Ross, Torrel

The Komets’ roster for this season is up to 13 players with the additions of forwards Brad Ross and Gage Torrel.
Torrel, 25, who played two games last season with Fort Wayne, is a rookie out of Lake Superior State for which he had 34 goals and 82 points in 148 career games.
Ross, 27, spent the last four seasons playing in Germany. He had four goals and 20 points in 41 games for Heilbronn.
In 2014-15, he played 32 games for Toronto of the American Hockey League, totaling four goals and eight points, and he appeared in 10 ECHL games for Orlando and had five goals and 11 points.
Ross was a second-round NHL draft pick of the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2010. He had 42 goals and 82 points in his last season of juniors, 2011-12, for the Western Hockey League’s Portland Winterhawks.
The Komets open the season Oct. 12 at Memorial Coliseum against the Kalamazoo Wings.
