TOLEDO — With the Komets down 3-1 to the Toledo Walleye heading into Game 5 at the Huntington Center, I expected some bold lineup moves by coach Gary Graham.
However, I didn’t expect this.
Word is — though it’s not official — that Justin Hodgman, Ryan Lowney and Craig Cescon will sit tonight for the Komets.
That would mean a full batch of youngsters.
Personally, I’d rather ride with my veterans. Hodgman had scoring chances on Friday and seems due.
And there are defensemen who have been turning the puck over a ton, such as Josh Elmes, but Lowney and Cescon have been the most reliable blue liners for months.
It’s a gamble. But Graham has been rewarded for gambles before.
