The Komets have claimed defenseman/forward Guillaume Naud off waivers from the Indy Fuel. They also acquired forward Quintin Lisoway from Wichita for cash.
Naud skated 16 games with Indy and one game for the Kalamazoo Wings, going scoreless with 26 penalty minutes in total, and he also had two goals, seven points and 18 penalty minutes in 18 games for Peoria of the lower-level Southern Professional Hockey League.
Naud, 26, is in his first season out of Nipissing University, for which he had two goals and 13 points in 21 games last season.
Lisoway, 23, a rookie out of the University of Manitoba, had one assist in four games with Wichita this season. He also played 19 games with Rapid City, accruing one goal and two points, after he had 12 goals and 15 points in 28 games last season at Manitoba.
The Komets play host to Rapid City at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Coliseum before traveling to St. John’s, Newfoundland, for games Feb. 8, 9 and 10.
