Verbatim: Paddles Aweigh Favorites Announced

The following was released on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019:

Friends of the Rivers is pleased to announce the winners of the recent Paddles Aweigh community art project. The project’s goals are to raise river awareness, engage our community and promote river recreation, as well as to fund classroom field trips aboard Sweet Breeze, Fort Wayne’s authentic canal boat.

Paddles may be seen on display through December at the Allen County Public Library main library, Community Center, First Presbyterian Church, Sweetwater, Turnstone and Visit Fort Wayne. There are 18 paddles still available for sale at $125. Paddles available for sale may be seen online at RideSweetBreeze.org after October 15.
