Allegiant airlines issued the following news release today:

FORT WAYNE, Ind. Aug. 13, 2019 — Allegiant (NASDAQ: ALGT) today announces service from Fort Wayne, Indiana to Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) beginning November 24, 2019. To celebrate, the company is offering one-way fares on the new route as low as $69.*

“New, nonstop service to Sarasota/Bradenton is perfect for a warm winter getaway,” said Drew Wells, Allegiant vice president of planning and revenue. “We know Fort Wayne-area travelers will take advantage of these convenient, affordable flights to explore the beautiful beaches of southwest Florida.”

This new seasonal route will operate twice weekly. With the addition of this new route, Allegiant will now serve six cities from Fort Wayne International Airport (FWA). Flight days, times and the lowest fares can be found only at

“The Fort Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority works hard to retain and attract new air service to northeast Indiana, and this is a result of those efforts,” said Scott Hinderman, executive director of airports. “Allegiant has been a great partner with FWA over the years and we are excited to see that partnership continue to grow into new markets. This new route adds yet another low-cost nonstop destination for northeast Indiana residents to enjoy.”

Allegiant offers a unique option to Fort Wayne-area travelers with low base fares and savings on rental cars and hotels. Travelers can book their entire vacation with Allegiant for less.
