Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana issued the following news release today:
Fort Wayne, Ind. - The Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana (YLNI) Farmers Market is expanding to include Wednesday's throughout the summer beginning today, Wednesday, July 10, 2019.
Located in the heart of downtown Fort Wayne at the northeast corner of Barr and Wayne Streets, the YLNI Farmers Market, operated by Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana, presents a vibrant, open-air outdoor market experience. Due to increased demand and the popularity of the organization's ongoing Saturday markets, the market is expanding to a market every other Wednesday throughout the remiander of the 2019 market season. The market will be open from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
"We are so excited to be able to offer a midweek market, especially downtown. The demand for local produce and goods continues to sky rocket. We are honored to be a part of a community that is so supportive of our local farmers and vendors." said Ashely Wagner, YLNI Farmers Market Manager.
A list of vendors at Wednesday's market will be announced via the YLNI Farmers Market Facebook page at www.facebook.com/YLNIFarmersMarket. The market is also still accepting vendor applications for future market days. Vendors can apply to be at the market at www.ylni.org/ylni-farmers-market.
The market will be held in the usual Saturday market location of Barr Street next to the History Center. Free parking is available in the History Center lot along Berry Street and on the streets in the surrounding blocks after 5 p.m., with ample opportunities to lock up a bicycle as well.
The Wednesday market dates are as follows: July 10, July 25, August 7, August 21, September 4, and September 18.
