The Journal Gazette

A 75-year-old Fort Wayne woman has been identified as the victim of a stabbing on the city's northwest side Tuesday evening, the Allen County coroner's office said today.

Sally Ann Duncan-Sanders died from multiple stab wounds, and her death was a homicide, the coroner's office said in a statement following an autopsy.

Fort Wayne police and medics were called to a home at 3020 Lincolndale Ave., near Interstate 69, Goshen Road and Coliseum Boulevard, at 5:22 p.m. Tuesday because of a medical event, police have said.

They said the victim's body was found covered in blood.

Duncan-Sanders' death remains under investigation by Fort Wayne police, the county prosecutor's office and the coroner's office.
