2 plead guilty to scamming BAE
MATTHEW LEBLANC | The Journal Gazette
Two men pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court to stealing from a local defense contractor through a tuition assistance program.
Denaryl K. Mojet and Leamon D. Perry each pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud for a scheme in which employees of BAE Systems submitted false requests for tuition assistance and never took college classes.
Mojet stole $24,000, and Perry pocketed $35,250, according to court documents. Each was ordered to pay back the money.
Thirty-one former BAE Systems employees were charged in the case and are accused of stealing nearly $800,000; 26 have pleaded guilty.
