TinCaps' offense remains hot

LANSING, Mich. – Fernando Tatis, Reinaldo Ilarraza and Hudson Potts each had three hits, as the TinCaps beat the Lansing Lugnuts 11-4 on Tuesday.

The TinCaps will go for a three-game sweep in a 10:35 a.m. start today before returning home Thursday.

Tatis homered and doubled twice, driving home three runs and scoring two. Ilarraza doubled and singled twice, also stealing a base.

Fort Wayne scored in six different innings in the victory, including the fourth, when Rod Boykin hit an RBI single and then scored on a two-run double by Potts.

Fort Wayne starter Logan Allen (2-2) picked up the win after giving up three hits over six scoreless innings.

Opposing starter Andy Ravel (3-1) took the loss in the Midwest League game after a rough outing in which he allowed nine runs and 10 hits over 32/3 innings.

Fort Wayne hit a season-high six doubles in its victory.
