Georgia at Notre Dame

When: 7:30 p.m. today

Where: Notre Dame Stadium, South Bend

Records: Notre Dame (1-0), Georgia (1-0)

Radio: 1190 AM, 92.3 FM, 107.3 FM

3 storylines

Notre Dame offensive line vs. Trenton Thompson/Jonathan Ledbetter: Georgia will be counting on its defensive front, led by Thompson at tackle and Ledbetter on the end, to win battles at the line of scrimmage. “They're big and use their technique very well,” Irish left guard Quenton Nelson said. “I have respect for them.”

Injuries: Notre Dame backup defensive tackle Elijah Taylor (foot) is doubtful. Backup defensive tackle Micah Dew-Treadway (knee) is probable. ... For Georgia, starting QB Jacob Eason (knee) is out. Starting cornerback Malkom Parrish (foot) is doubtful. No. 3 cornerback Aaron Davis (hamstring) is questionable. Starting right guard Solomon Kindley (ankle) is probable.

Notre Dame defense vs. Isaac Nauta: With so much attention on Georgia's running game, the Irish should be careful not to fall for fake handoffs that set up play-action passes to Nauta. He had 29 catches for 361 yards and three touchdowns last year as a freshman and might become one of the best tight ends in the Southeastern Conference.

Prediction: Notre Dame 31, Georgia 27
