Trine at Olivet

Records: Trine 5-0 (2-0 MIAA), Olivet 4-1 (2-0)

When: 1 p.m. Saturday

Where: Cutler Athletic Complex, Olivet, Mich.

Outlook: Trine is in a three-way tie atop the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association standings with Kalamazoo and Olivet. ... Senior running back Lamar Carswell is a star for the Thunder after he rushed for 293 of the team's 349 rushing yards and five touchdowns last week. It was the third time in program history a player had five rushing touchdowns in a game. Mark Wilson was the last to do it in 2015. Carswell has already topped 1,000 rushing yards on the season (1,029) and leads the MIAA in rushing touchdowns with 17. The next most anyone has is eight. ... Olivet is second in the conference in rushing defense, behind only Trine, so the Thunder could have a tougher time on the ground. Comets quarterback Lane Porter went 16-of-23 passing for 223 yards and two touchdowns in last week's 50-22 win over Adrian. ... Last season, Trine topped Olivet 28-6.
