White leads Cougars to 15th straight victory

The Saint Francis men's basketball team won its 15th straight game with an 86-70 win Saturday at Mount Vernon Nazarene. The Cougars are one win away from tying the program record of 16 straight wins. 

Saint Francis (16-2, 6-0 Crossroads League) led 47-30 at halftime and maintained a commanding lead in the second half thanks to 14 points from Chandler White. He finished with 24 points and 13 rebounds. 

Derek Hinen added 19 and Bryce Lienhoop 18 for Saint Francis.

Mount Vernon was led by Jay Joseph's 18 points, Jacob Paul added 12 and Jeremiah Roberts 10.

GOSHEN 86, GRACE 80: In Goshen, Logan Godfrey scored 21 points in the Lancers' loss. Erik Bowen scored 16 for Grace (7-11, 0-6, Crossroads League). 

Billy Geschke scored 23, Conner Funkhouser added 21, Devin Heath-Granger 18 and Alhassan Barrie 10 for the Maple Leafs (10-8, 3-3).

SPRING ARBOR 78, HUNTINGTON 65: In Spring Arbor, Michigan, Paul Marandet led the Cougars (15-2, 3-2 Crossroads League) with 24 points on 10 of 15 shooting and added nine assists. 

Tyler Arens scored 16 and Konner Platt added 12 for the Foresters (6-11, 2-3).

INDIANA TECH 76, NORTHWESTERN OHIO 60: In Lima, Ohio, the Warriors (16-3, 8-1 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference) won their fifth straight conference game as Darren Groves led all scorers with 20 points on 9 of 12 shooting. Max Huber added 13 points, Dylan Phair 11 and Nic Williams 10.

Sadeeq Bello led the Racers (9-10, 2-7) with 15 points.

TRINE 79, OLIVET 72: In Olivet, Michigan, Myle Copeland and Maurice Hunter each scored 17 points and had 11 rebounds to lead the Thunder (5-8, 1-1 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association). Langston Johnson added 16 points and Pete Smith scored 10.

The Comets (6-7, 1-1) outscored Trine 50-36 in the second half.

HANOVER 77, MANCHESTER 69: In North Manchester, Adrian Johnson had 19 points and 11 rebounds in a losing effort for the Spartans (2-11, 0-6 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference). Allen Jones scored 12 and Matthew Westman 10 for the Spartans.

Cam Fails led the Panthers (9-4, 4-2) with 19 points.
