Matchups set for Women's Challenge
Indiana will take on Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and Purdue will host Miami in the 2018 ACC/Big Ten Women's Basketball Challenge the conferences announced Monday.
And defending national champion Notre Dame will play host to Iowa.
The challenge, which will take place for the 12th consecutive year, will be Nov. 28-29. The Hoosiers will play the Demon Deacons, who went 14-17 last season, on the first day of the event. Indiana is 6-5 all-time in the event after losing to then-No. 4 Louisville last season.
“This year, the ACC/Big Ten Challenge presents our program with a great opportunity for a road test early in our schedule,” Indiana coach Teri Moren said in a statement. “We are looking forward to the challenge of playing at Wake Forest and against a team that will prepare us for the remainder of the season.”
Purdue will play the Hurricanes on the second day of the event, as will be the Notre Dame-Iowa game.
Game times and television coverage for the ACC/Big Ten Challenge will be announced at a later date.
