Captains set for BSU spring game
Former Ball State football players and current coaches Joey Lynch and Keith McKenzie will serve as the honorary captains at today's spring football game. The game is scheduled for 11 a.m.
Lynch (2003-06) graduated as one of the most prolific passers in Ball State history with 4,292 yards and 37 touchdowns, and his 63.8 career completion percentage is best in school history.
McKenzie (1992-95) was a standout on the defensive line for the Cardinals and earned All-MAC first team honors in 1995 after leading Ball State with 11 sacks and pacing the conference with 18 tackles for loss. He finished his Ball State career with 25 sacks, which is tied for the most in program history. McKenzie went on to play with the Green Bay Packers, Cleveland Browns, Chicago Bears and Buffalo Bills.
