The eight current members of the Three Rivers Conference saw the sign of the times, and it wasn’t always pretty. The conference landscape in high school sports – specifically in northeast Indiana – is undergoing some significant changes in the next couple of years.
North Side’s Shabaz Khaliq and South Side’s Juanita Goodwell came to the news conference Monday at Saint Francis sporting their school colors and logos.
It took about a month or two for Bishop Dwenger senior Mike Fiacable to shake off the effects of a long and disappointing football season. The emotional and disappointing aspect of the Saints’ Class 4A state runner-up finish, though, is a different matter.
