The Komets have re-signed forwards Kaleigh Schrock and Mike Embach for the 2014-15 season, the club announced today. Schrock and Embach are the first two players to be named to the roster.

Blake Siebenaler, a Fort Wayne native, was selected in the third round of the NHL draft today by the Columbus Blue Jackets. He went 77th overall. He is a defenseman.
“I like it,” Komets president Michael Franke said. “I like being back with Colorado. We started to create a rivalry with them (in the CHL) … and we’re kind of excited about being able to take them on."
After every team in the Western Conference made the playoffs last season, this is an attempt to even things out. The potential travel in the playoffs is going up.
The Komets on Friday completed two trades made for future considerations last season.
After spending the last three seasons with the Komets, forward Chris Auger is leaving to play in Europe, he confirmed today.
