This time it was the arms that got it done. Starting pitcher Kyle Lloyd gave up two hits and struck out eight in six innings’ work and relievers Jorge Guzman and Ryan Butler finished up as the TinCaps won again Wednesday, this time muzzling Great Lakes 4-0 on three hits at Dow Diamond in Midland, Michigan.
Franmil Reyes’ home run in the top of the 12 th – it was his 10 th of the season – gave the TinCaps a 2-1 victory over the Great Lakes Loons at Dow Diamond on Tuesday night.
They came to Monday night off another Sunday loss but on an eight-wins-in-12-games roll, with a pitcher on the hill (Yimmi Brasoban) whose season ERA was north of eight but who’d given up just one earned run in his last 11 innings’ work.
