The IPFW men's volleyball team battled No. 10 Penn State through five sets to come away with a 3-2 victory at Gates Center.
The IPFW men's volleyball team lost 3-1 to Grand Canyon in Phoenix on Saturday, despite 20 kills from Andy Sellan, 49 assists from Omar Rivera and 13 digs by Luis Bertran.
In Indianapolis, senior Kerah Nelson scored 29 points – she made all but one of her 14 shots – to tie a career high and lead the IUPUI women (19-10, 12-4) past IPFW 82-67 on Senior Night. She also had 11 rebounds.

With Oakland's defense bent on stopping IPFW senior Frank Gaines, the rest of the Mastodons came through with a 77-71 victory over the Grizzlies on Wednesday at Memorial Coliseum.
