Gary Graham dreamed of being a head coach in the professional ranks, even if he hadn’t played the game at a particularly high level, so he arrived at the team’s offices in 2008 to ask for a job.

The Komets will hold a news conference Tuesday at 2 p.m. to announce -- finally -- who their next head coach will be.
Here is the Komets' first round of protected players. This basically includes players who weren't on contracts to higher-level teams when they joined the Komets and with whom they want to hold exclusive negotiating rights until July.
