City man dies from motorcycle injuries
ASHLEY SLOBODA | The Journal Gazette
One of three motorcyclists critically injured in a weekend crash has died, the Allen County coroner's office said Monday.
Rocky Lynn Parker, 57, of Fort Wayne, died from blunt force injury due to the Saturday afternoon crash in the 1800 block of East Ferguson Road. The manner of death was ruled an accident.
His death is the county's first traffic fatality this year.
The wreck happened about 2:30 p.m. after two motorcycles turned onto westbound Ferguson Road from U.S. 27, the sheriff's department has said. The motorcycle in front lost control and hit the guardrail, and the other motorcycle ran into the wreck, causing it to crash.
Parker was not wearing a helmet, the coroner's office said.
The other two motorcyclists were critically injured. It was unclear Monday what their conditions were.
