A shooting early Sunday left one man in critical condition, and the circumstances around the shooting were unclear.
About 2:30 a.m., police were called to the 1100 block of Maxine Drive in reference to a person shot. As officers were on the way, a dispatcher was told that the adult male victim had been driven by a bystander to a hospital, where he was determined to be in critical condition, according to a news release.
When officers arrived at Maxine Drive, they discovered a social gathering at the house. It was unclear what led to gunshots inside the house. No other injuries were reported.
Detectives were seeking any witnesses to the shooting and hope to speak to the victim as soon as possible. There was no suspect Sunday evening, and the shooting remains under investigation, according to the news release.
