Waterloo man dies under vehicle

A Waterloo man died last week when he became pinned under the utility vehicle he was driving in DeKalb County, police said Monday.

David J. Blomeke was driving a Honda Pioneer 700 on DeKalb County Road 55 just north of County Road 4 about 9:35 a.m. Thursday.

The DeKalb County Sheriff's Department said the vehicle went off the road into a ditch. It went down an embankment and rolled on top of Blomeke, pinning him underneath, police said.
