Firearm used in Auburn robbery

The Indiana State Police is asking for help in investigating an armed robbery at the Speedway gas station in Auburn early Monday.
About 3:30 a.m. a man entered the Speedway at 1117 W. Seventh St. displaying a handgun and demanding cash. After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled and was seen heading south. No one was injured.
Investigators have learned that similar armed robberies took place Sept. 30 in Logansport and Peru. More recent armed robberies took place Tuesday in Portage, Michigan, and Kalamazoo, Michigan. Investigators believe the same man is involved in all four armed robberies. He is believed to be driving a silver sedan.

Ohio man arrested in abduction case
A Hicksville, Ohio, man was apprehended Thursday about 3 p.m. on charges of kidnapping and abduction, as well as two warrants for failure to appear in court in Lucas County, Ohio, according to a news release from the Defiance County Sheriff's Office.
Christopher W. Karacson, 37, was found in a garage in Hicksville and arrested by the Defiance County Sheriff's Office and the Hicksville Police Department, according to a press release.
