Braun opens local office in Donnelly's old space

BRIAN FRANCISCO | The Journal Gazette

Freshman U.S. Sen. Mike Braun announced Monday that he has opened an office in the same space in downtown Fort Wayne that was rented by his predecessor.

Braun, R-Ind., said his office in the Anthony Wayne Building is among four he will operate in Indiana in addition to his Washington, D.C., office.

The local office is at 203 E. Berry St., Suite 702B. Hours are 9 a.m. to noon Mondays. Wednesdays and Fridays. The telephone number is 427-2164.

Former Democratic senator Joe Donnelly maintained an office in the same space of the Anthony Wayne Building for most of his six-year term in the Senate. Braun unseated Donnelly in the Nov. 6 general election.

Braun's other Indiana offices are in Indianapolis, South Bend and Hammond. His Washington office is in the Russell Senate Office Building.

The Jasper resident also announced Monday that his website is up and running at www.braun.senate.gov.

"As I learned in the business world, customer service is critical to success and Hoosiers will now be able to use our full website to send me messages, request assistance within the federal government, or visit one of our five office locations. It’s an honor to represent Indiana in the U.S. Senate and I look forward to hearing from and helping Hoosiers," Braun said in a statement.
