FRANKFORT – Authorities say a 17-year-old driver was speeding on a county road when her car went out of control and crashed into the living room of a rural central Indiana home, killing two young sisters who were inside.

Clinton County sheriff's Chief Deputy Joseph Mink said Thursday the driver was arrested on preliminary charges of criminal recklessness and that blood tests were being conducted. The car went through a ditch before running into the house near Frankfort about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.

He identified those killed as 17-year-old Haleigh Fullerton and 9-year-old Callie Fullerton.

Mink says their 37-year-old mother, Bridget Fullerton, was injured and recovering at an Indianapolis hospital. A third child inside wasn't hurt.

Four others in the car, ranging from 12 to 17 years old, were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
