Felonies

The following people were charged with felonies in Allen Circuit and Superior courts. Misdemeanor charges are also listed if the person is charged with a felony.

Maverick Davis II, 29, of the 2500 block of South Lafayette Street, was charged April 27 with strangulation and domestic battery and misdemeanor criminal mischief. He was being held in lieu of $5,000 bail and without bail on another case.

Larry Joseph Mast, aka Joseph Mast, 44, of the 9400 block of Wayne Trace, was charged April 27 with unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, possessing cocaine and possessing methamphetamine. He was being held in lieu of $15,000 bail.

Shane Ryan Royse, 23, of the 2700 block of West Washington Center Road, was charged April 30 with two counts of domestic battery and misdemeanor invasion of privacy. He was being held in lieu of $10,750 bail.

Nikkia Underwood, 29, of the 3700 block of East Washington Boulevard, was charged April 30 with possessing a synthetic drug. She was being held in lieu of $2,500 bail.

Ryan R. Smith, 28, of the 7600 block of Allison Avenue, was charged April 30 with criminal confinement and domestic battery. He was released on $12,500 bond.

Nicholas E. Norman, 24, of the 400 block of Putnam Street, was charged April 30 with theft and misdemeanor counts of possessing a controlled substance and unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle. He was being held in lieu of $2,500 bail.

Christopher S. Shaffner, 30, of the 5000 block of Winter Street, was charged April 30 with criminal recklessness committed with a deadly weapon. He was released on $2,500 bond.

Clarance L. Brooks, aka Clarence Brooks, 31, of the 2200 block of Abbey Drive, was charged April 30 with two counts of strangulation and misdemeanor counts of domestic battery and possessing marijuana. He was being held in lieu of $5,750 bail.

Gary E. Kemper II, 20, of Leo, was charged April 30 with possessing cocaine, unlawfully possessing a syringe and misdemeanor counts of operating while intoxicated, possessing marijuana and possessing paraphernalia. He was released on $750 bond.

Nicky Lee Hash, 35, of the 1700 block of Hillside Avenue, was charged April 30 with maintaining a common nuisance. She was being held in lieu of $2,500 bail.

Antwayn Spencer, 37, of the 1500 block of Northbrook Boulevard, was charged April 30 with domestic battery. He was released on his own recognizance.

Japheth M. Simpson, 32, of the 2800 block of Raymond Street, was charged April 30 with two counts of domestic battery, intimidation and a misdemeanor count of intimidation or threatening another person to place them in fear of retaliation. He was released on his own recognizance.

Erin Holbrook, 44, of the 7100 block of Blackhawk Lane, was charged April 30 with unlawful possession of a syringe and theft. She was being held in lieu of $2,500 bail.

Antonio D. Staten, 27, of the 2500 block of Capitol Avenue, was charged May 1 with dealing cocaine and misdemeanor counts of possessing marijuana and possessing paraphernalia. He was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Austin M. McBride, 19, of the 2200 block of Bellevue Drive, was charged May 1 with burglary and misdemeanor criminal mischief. He was being held in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Chaketa Arlove McClendon, 35, of the 5100 block of Oliver Street, was charged May 1 with operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction and misdemeanor intentionally operating a vehicle without having received a license. She was released on $2,500 bond.

Alvis Ramsey, 47, of the 1000 block of Coliseum Boulevard, was charged May 1 with two counts of domestic battery and invasion of privacy. He was being held in lieu of $25,000 bail.

Gerald L. Schroeder, aka Gerald Bearss, 48, of the 2000 block of Thompson Avenue, was charged May 1 with theft. He was released on $2,500 bond.

Joshua Brickley, 40, of the 4600 block of Reed Road, was charged May 1 with dealing marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance. He was released on $12,500 bond.

Joshua A. Sims, 31, of New Haven, was charged May 1 with failure to register as a sex offender. He was being held in lieu of $10,000 bail.
