Felonies

The following people were charged with felonies in Allen Circuit and Superior courts. Misdemeanor charges are also listed if the person is charged with a felony.

Howard L. Bowman II, 23, of the 2000 block of Sheridan Road, was charged Aug. 4 with possession of a narcotic drug. There was a warrant for his arrest.

David Burget, 50, of the 4800 block of Montrose Avenue, was charged Aug. 4 with operating a vehicle after having been judged a habitual traffic violator. He was being held in lieu of $2,500 bail.

Eugene Strickland, 45, of the first block of Country Forest Drive, was charged Aug. 4 with domestic battery and resisting law enforcement. He was released on $3,250 bond. 

Isaac R. Foss, 39, of the 6000 block of Moeller Road, was charged Aug. 7 with two counts of battery with bodily injury to a public safety officer and battery against a public safety official with two misdemeanor charges for disorderly conduct and public intoxication. He was released on $22,500 bond.

Brandon Goble, 28, of the 1400 block of East Fairfax Avenue, was charged Aug. 7 with two counts of domestic battery and misdemeanor domestic battery by bodily waste. He was being held in lieu of $3,250 bail

Joseph A. Barone aka Joey Barone, 60, of the 600 block of Fallen Timbers Trail, was charged Aug. 7 with corrupt business influence. He was being held in lieu of $10,000 bail with a hold from Noble County.

Zachery Barone, 22, of the 600 block of Fallen Timbers Trail, was charged Aug. 7 with corrupt business influence. He was released on his own recognizance.

Derek L. Moss, 24, of the 8200 block of Rocky Glen Place, was charged Aug. 7 with corrupt business influence. He was released on his own recognizance.

Brendan M. Lewis, 24, of Avilla was charged Aug. 7 with corrupt business influence. He was released on his own recognizance.

Jamal T. Johnson, 18, of the 2100 block of St. Marys Avenue, was charged Aug. 7 with resisting law enforcement and auto theft and three misdemeanor charges of resisting law enforcement, leaving the scene of an accident and intentionally operating a motor vehicle without having received a license. He was being held in lieu of $5,750 bail.

Glenda J. Smith, 30, of the 2900 block of Goshen Road, was charged Aug. 7 with possession of cocaine and theft with a prior conviction and a misdemeanor charge for possession of paraphernalia. She was released on her own recognizance.

Steven James Straham, 32, of the 1900 block of Kenwood Avenue, was charged Aug. 7 with strangulation and a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery. He was being held in lieu of $3,250 bail.

James G. Clay, 25, of the 400 block of Wiebke Street, was charged Aug. 7 with receiving stolen auto parts. He was being held in lieu of $2,500 bail.

Eva Harris aka Eva Ruef, 48, of Huntington, was charged Aug. 7 with possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia. She was released on her own recognizance.

Elijah J. Swopshire aka Elijah J. Pope, 22, of the 2500 block of Raymond Street, was charged Aug. 7 with being a felon carrying a handgun and resisting law enforcement with two misdemeanor charges of resisting law enforcement and intentionally operating a motor vehicle without having received a license. He was being held in lieu of $13,250 bail.

Michael W. Wollman, 30, of 9800 block of Berkshire Lane, was charged Aug. 7 with possession of cocaine and unlawful possession of a syringe. He was released on $2,500 bond.

Julianne L. Johnston, 47, of the 2200 block of Fairfield Avenue, was charged Aug. 7 with two counts of domestic battery and criminal recklessness. She was being held in lieu of $15,000 bail.

Amy Raman, 38, was charged Aug. 7 with dealing a narcotic drug, two counts of dealing a synthetic drug and maintaining a common nuisance with a misdemeanor charge of dealing a synthetic drug. She was being held in lieu of $17,500 bail.

Bryon R. Kathrens, 54, of Leo-Cedarville, was charged Aug. 7 with maintaining a common nuisance and misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. He was released on his own recognizance.

James Dwight Miller, 49, was charged Aug. 7 with possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia. He was being held in lieu of $2,500 bail.
