IPFW forum to look at DACA threat
The IPFW Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs will host a campus and community forum Monday to discuss the effects of the proposed elimination of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, the federal immigration program that grants U.S. residency to children of undocumented immigrants.
The public forum will be at 6:30 p.m. in Room 35A of the Liberal Arts Building.
Fort Wayne SOUP hosting 3rd event
Fort Wayne SOUP will host its third event from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 22 at Mad Anthonys Children's Hope House.
The public is invited, but space is limited to 250 guests.
Fort Wayne SOUP is a micro-fundraising or crowd-funding dinner that provides networking and socializing opportunities while raising money for creative projects designed to enhance Fort Wayne living.
A minimum of $5 entry donation at the door is encouraged. Attendees receive food, a chance to ask questions and an opportunity to vote for the presenter whose idea they like most. The winner receives all the proceeds raised through ticket sales on www.eventbrite.com and at the door.
Along with food, there will be a live art exhibition.
