Special events

• The Ladies Guild at Bethany Lutheran Church, 2435 Engle Road, will have a Rummage and Yummage Bake Sale from 8 a.m. to noon today.

• New Haven United Methodist Church, 630 Lincoln Highway E., New Haven, will have a spring rummage sale from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, with $2 Early Bird shopping from 1 to 3 p.m.; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday; and a $2 bag sale 9 a.m. to noon Friday.

• Trinity Lutheran Church, 7819 Decatur Road, will have a spring rummage and bake sale from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and a $2 bag sale from 9 a.m. to noon May 6.

• Victory Noll Center, 1900 W. Park Drive, Huntington, will have its Annual Women's Tea from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 6. The theme is “Sharing Our Sacred Stories” and features Sharon Metzger, executive director of Place of Grace. Tickets are $15. To reserve ticket, call 260-200-1740.

Book published

Fort Wayne resident Steven T. Wellman has published “The Window Within,” a book of poems and prayers, by Holy Fire Publishing. 


Concordia Theological Seminary, 6600 N. Clinton St., will have “The Reformation After the Reformation: Interpreting Martin Luther After February 18, 1546” from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday in Luther Hall. The lecture is free.
