Giving back

• The United Way of Noble County raised $26,783 through its annual “Power of the Purse” event.

• Matthew 25 received a $950 grant from the Heal Initiative, co-sponsored by Parkview Health and St. Joseph Community Health Foundation.

• Leadership Fort Wayne, a program through Greater Fort Wayne, received a $7,600 grant from the AWS Foundation to provide two full scholarships for its leadership class.

• Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry received a $2,500 grant from the ME Raker Foundation to help pay processing fees for donated large game and livestock that is then donated to hunger-relief organizations.


Richard C. Gerber III and Nancy Snyder received the Junior Achievement Golden Achievement Award for Excellence in Economic Education.


Central Catholic High School will have its all alumni reunion at 4:30 p.m. June 23 at Classic Catering and Event Center, 4832 Hillegas Road. Cost is $20 per person and reservations are due by June 16. For more information, email or call 485-0290.
